Superior Shine was founded by Jose “Joe” Fernandez in 1989, built from a lifelong passion for automobiles and a commitment to doing things the right way.
Joe's interest in cars began as a kid working around his father's auto body shop, where he developed an early appreciation for paint, bodywork, restoration, and craftsmanship.
After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Joe continued developing his skills in the automotive world, including working at the renowned Hill & Vaughn restoration shop before taking Superior Shine full-time in 1992.
What began as a mobile detailing business grew into a career that has put Joe and Superior Shine in front of some truly extraordinary automobiles, aircraft, and pieces of American history.

He has also worked alongside major companies in the detailing industry, including Meguiar's and RUPES, evaluating products, techniques, and equipment while helping other professionals improve their craft.
